Ex-Voto Design took it’s name from the Mexican Folk art pieces known as Ex-Voto’s. Though Ex-Voto’s were religious in nature, it is the way in which they were meticulously created that has had it’s greatest influence on us. In villages across early Mexico, Ex – Voto’s were created by artist’s who’s job it was to reproduce stories of miraculous events through distinct images and text. The artist’s interpretations of these stories and the final mastery has become the motive driving Ex-Voto Design.
